I work as an independent nurse consultant and mainly work with NHS, Local authorities, specialist hospitals, care homes and private organisations. I have supported organisations to implement systems and processes relating to safeguarding to ensure that they are Care Act and CQC compliant. These have included safeguarding polices and procedures, safeguarding workforce development, supervision guidance and criteria for referral to safeguarding for healthcare workers. I have also worked with Safeguarding Adult Boards and Independent Chairs and was involved in undertaking tasks for the Safeguarding Adult Boards (SABs), which included partaking in the role as a Panel member for the Safeguarding Adult Board to seek assurance for SAB members with regards to safeguarding activities. I have supported Safeguarding Adult Boards in developing multi-agency strategies, which included hard to reach communities. I have also been involved as a Panel member in section 42 enquiries, Safeguarding Adult Reviews, Domestic Homicide Reviews and Learning Disabilities Reviews.
