The challenge
When policy and practice drift apart
Most providers have the policies inspectors ask for. The difficulty is showing that those policies shape what staff do every day. Inspectors speak to staff, people using the service and their families, and they look for evidence that what is written down is what happens.
CQC inspection readiness means closing that gap before inspectors find it. That usually starts with a safeguarding policy review and an honest look at dementia care practice and governance oversight, followed by a clear plan for the changes that matter most.
PMH does not promise a particular rating. Ratings are decided by CQC. Our role is to help you understand where you stand and strengthen the practice that inspectors will examine.
